    The authors identified a QTL region of mouse Chromosome 7 that controlled resistance to tuberculosis in sst1 mice. Various mouse strains contributed to the mapping effort. In the discussion the authors mention that their mapping overlaps the Tbrs3 QTL region as described in J:67658 by Mitsos LM, Genes Immun 2000 Dec;1(8):467-77. However MGI will use the Tbrs5 symbol to represent the mapping here. Fine mapping of Tbrs5 was conducted using a set of subcongenic lines that carried a recombinant chromosome 7on a C3H.B6-sst1 background. Using these lines the critical region for Tbrs3 was defined as residing between D7Mit230 and D7Mit350.
