Two overlapping clones were isolated by screening of mouse testis cDNA with a Jarid1d probe. Sequencing of these clones showed that they were not identical to Jarid1cd, but were 72% similar at the nucleotide level and 82% similar at the amino acid level. The authors indicate these clones represent gene Jarid1c which maps with the X Chromosome (see J18901).
