• Experiment
  Cultured cell lines derived from female M. musculus x M. caroli fetuses were analyzed. Cell lines expressing both M. musculus and M. caroli forms of HPRT, G6PD and PGK were presumed to be female. Due to X-inactivation, clones derived from single cells ofthese cultures were expected to display either M. musculus or M. caroli electrophoretic patterns for these enzymes. This result was observed, confirming that the genes Hprt, G6pd and Pgk1 are X-linked.
