Notes
  • Reference
Il1r1, Cd28, Lsh, Ity and Bcg are candidate genes for Idd5.
  • Experiment
An association between the genetic centromeric marker D3Nds1 and the susceptibility to diabetes locus was established through analysis of backcross mice from (NOD x B10.H-2g7)F1 x NOD reciprocal crosses. The NOD allele that confers susceptibility on Chromosome 3 is designated Idd3. Of 97 diabetic mice 80 were homozygous NOD for D3Nds1.
