    Notch1 was localized to Chromosome 2 by use of microcell and somatic cell hybrids. Rat x mouse microcell hybrid F(2.8)D is positive for Chromosomes 2 and 8 and had a positive signal for Notch1. This was confirmed by use of rat x mouse microcell hybrid FF4-2a and hamster x mouse somatic cell hybrid 17T-1 which were positive for Chromosome 8 but negative for mouse gene Notch1. Authors conclude Notch1 is on mouse Chromosome 2.
