Raly restriction analysis
a restriction analysis
Notes
  • Experiment
In the F1 cross between M. spretus and M. musculus, a unique restriction fragment revealed no crossovers (0/80) between Raly and a sequences, indicating tight linkage on Chromosome 2. Using polymorphisms, the authors showed the 3' end of the Raly gene is deleted in the Ay allele and this deletion is between the a gene and the 5' end of the Raly gene. Preliminary and unpublished work by E.J. Michaud, et al., use physical mapping to show the 5' end of Raly lies a maximum of 300kb 5' to a.
