Notes
  • Experiment
Restriction mapping of clones CE12, CE17, CE18 and Ce19 which were isolated from BALB/c cDNA indicate that five non-adult beta-globin genes Hbb-y, Hbb-bh0, Hbb-bh1, Hbb-bh2 and Hbb-bh3 are spread out over at least 25kb of DNA. Further restriction analysis indicate that these five genes are contiquous with the adult beta-globin genes Hbb-b1 and Hbb-b2. Togather, the seven beta-globin genes occupy at least 70kb of DNA on mouse Chromosome 7.
