  This reference reports the effects of the Mtv-8 locus on the closely linked Igk-V9 locus.
• Experiment
  Increased Igk-V9 rearrangement in Mtv-8 positive strains BALB/cJ, C57BL/6J, C58.C and A/J was observed. Conversely, no rearrangement was observed in Mtv-8 negative strains C58/J, C.C58, PERA/Ei and NZB. These results indicate a linkage of Mtv-8 with Chromosome 6 gene Igk-V9.
