Notes
  • Experiment
Strains that were made congenic by introducing the xid mutation onto the MRL, BXSB and NZB backgrounds were tested to determine if Xlr gene were cotransferred with xid. Restriction analysis of genomic DNA from the congenic strains indicate that Xlr was transferred with xid and are linked within 5-10 cM. It is important to note that the Xlr probe hybridizes to 10-14 bands of mouse DNA and is thus recognized as a family of genes.
