  Strain SPRET/Ei expresses an antigen that is cross reactive with C57BL/10-derived H-47 antigen. There was only one recombinant between the SPRET/Ei derived antigen with pink eye in a total of 45 backcross mice from a (B10.129-H-4^b x SPRET/Ei)F1 x B10.129-H-4^b mating. The SPRET/Ei derived antigen thus map very close or is encoded by the H-47 locus.
