Notes
  • Experiment
B10.BR female mice were mated to (C57BL/10Sn x B10.BR)F1 males and the resulting backcross progeny tested for their H2 haplotype and the rate of embryonic development. Backcross embryos that developed fast (Ped-fast) were H2 b/k and similar to the F1 parent, whereas slow development (Ped-slow) mice typed H2 k/k and similar to the inbred progenitor. The concordant segregation of Ped with H2 indicates that Ped maps within the H2 complex. Ped-fast is dominant to Ped-slow.
