    Six somatic cell hybrid and 8 microcell hybrid lines derived from rat hepatoma x mouse embryonic fibroblast cells were analyzed. Among the microcell hybrids 4 contained only mouse Chromosome 11, 3 contained mouse Chromosome 11 and a few additional mouse chromosomes and 1 contained only mouse Chromosome X. All 7 microcell hybrids containing Chromosome 11 were positive for Tse-1. Six of these microcell hybrids were backselected to eliminate mouse Chromosome 11 and these back-selectants were all negative for Tse-1, confirming the assignment of Tse-1 to Chromosome 11. Presence of Tse-1 was determined by extinction of TAT expression. Chromosomes were identified by G-banding.
