    Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of male mouse primary fibroblasts carrying T(X;16)16H with Hprt-Chinese hamster cell line V79/380-6. Primary hybrids selected in HAT media retained both mouse 16X and X16 translocation products and expressed bothmouse Hprt and Ags. Hybrids backselected in 8-azaguanine lost Hprt activity and lost the X16 Chromosome but retained the 16X Chromosome and mouse Ags activity. These data localize Hprt on the X16 translocation product in the Xcen-D region and Ags on the 16X translocation product in the XD-ter region.
