    Thirteen somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of mouse with either Chinese hamster or rat cell. EcoRI digested DNA from mouse and hybrid cell lines were probed on Southern blots for Gja-1 using a rat cDNA probe. Diagnostic fragments were observed to segregate in complete accord with mouse Chromosome 10. At least three discordancies were observed for all other chromosomes.
