    Flourescent images of DAPI stained X-Y Chromosomes from pachytene spermatocytes were analyzed. These data are consistent with the results published by Disteche C.M. et al., Genomics 5:177-184, 1989 mapping these loci 5.5cM apart. In situ hybridization using biotinylated probes for DXWas70 and DXWas68 produced distinct hybridization sites 3-5 micrometers apart on a 25 micrometer X Chromosome.
