  From a total of 16,207 progeny from crosses or backcrosses involving A^y and agouti mutations A, a^t, a or a^x there were a total of 8 recombinations observed, suggesting that A^y is pseudoallelic to the agouti locus. Subsets of data from different laboratories produce the following recombination estimates: A^y - a a^t, 0.09cM minimum, A^y - a, 0.11cM and A^y - a^x, 0.12cM. These data additionally support the premise that A^t, a and a^x are alleles of each other.
