• Experiment
  Mouse mdx locus mutants, mdx^*, were chemically induced using ENU (N-ethylitrosourea) treatment of C3H.X25 congenic strain males carrying Pgk-1^a and Hprt^a alleles. The mutations were designated mdx^2Cv, mdx^3Cv and mdx^4Cv. Phenodeviant mdx females, carrying these mutations, were mated with C57BL/10Sn-mdx males to determine linkage relationships of the mutant with Hprt and Pgk-1 on the X Chromosome. The mdx locus maps within the Dmd locus.
