  X-linkage for jp^rsh was first detected by observing the sex ratio of affected offspring from crosses between mutant females and normal males versus normal females and mutant males.
• Experiment
  The alleles of Mo and jp used in the cross were Mo^vbr, viable brindled, and jp^rsh, rumpshaker. jp is known to be a mutation of the Plp gene. Only male offspring were analyzed.Offspring types indicate alleles inherited from F1 parent.
