    Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of Chinese hamster and BALB/c spleen cells (N = 15) or from HAT-selected hybrids of Rb(11.13) mouse cells and RAT-2 TK- cells (N = 2). RTM9 contained only mouse Chromosome Rb(11.13) and RTM9-BU was a selected clone that lost this chromosome. EcoRI digested DNA was probed on Southern blots for Krt-1 using human cDNA clone pKB-2.
