  There is another epistatic circling gene in SWR.
• Experiment
  Ec1 shows concordant inheritance with 8 AKXL RI strains and linkage to H6pd (78.4 cM), thus is on chromosome 4. The C57L/J allele of Ec1 confers circling phenotype. Ec1 presumably interacts with a second SWR-derived locus.
