Emv12
Sod1
Notes
  • Reference
Revised gene symbol: Emv-12 (formerly Akv-2).
  • Experiment
Somatic cell hybrids were from fusion of peritoneal macrophage and spleen cells from NIH.Akv-2 congenic mice with Chinese hamster cell line E36. Fourteen chromosome markers were analyzed and Emv-12 was observed to segregate concordantly with Sod-1 on Chromosome 16 in 91% (45/49) of the primary and secondary clones analyzed. A subclone derived from a karyotyped virus-inducible clone expressing Sod-1 and Emv-12 was found that carried only mouse Chromosome 16 and retained virus inducible and Sod-1 confirming that Emv-12 is on Chromosome 16.
