Notes
  • Experiment
Aquired immunity to Leishmania donovani is determined by a dominant gene at or near Ir-2. The expressed resistance in H-3 congenics B10.CE(30NX) and B10.LP-H-3b is not consistent with that expressed by the C57BL/10Sn host parent. This finding suggest that Ir-2 was cotransferred with H-3 during the construction of these congenics and therefore that H-3 and Ir-2 are closely linked on Chromosome 2.
