Notes
  • Experiment
    (CLA x BALB/cJPt)F2 mice were used to determine the following recombination percentages on Chromosome 15: Mupm-1 - 5 +/- 2.7% - Myc (n = 66); Mupm1 - 10 +/- 4.2% - Ly6 (n = 50); Mupm1 - 12 +/- 4.6% - Pdgfb (n = 50); and Mupm1 - 22 +/- 5.2% - Gpd1 (n= 64). The suggested gene order is Mupm1, Myc, Ly6, Pdgfb and Gpd1. No Raw data presented.

Mupm1 (major urinary protein modifier 1) is a recessively inherited locus derived from the BALB/cJPt strain which confers decreased excretion of major urinary protein (MUP) band 4.1 in male animals.

Mupm1 maps very close to an alpha-fetoprotein regulatory locus named Afr1 (28.4 cM).
