    Somatic cell hybrids were constructed between Chinese hamster cell line E36 and peritoneal or spleen cells from BALB/c or NFS.Akv-2 mice. Hybrid DNA was cleaved with EcoRI, Southern blotted and probed for Gnat-1 using a cDNA probe from the alpha subunit of bovine rod transducin (Talpha1).
