Notes
  • Experiment
Somatic cell hybrids were constructed between Chinese hamster and mouse cell lines. DNA from 15 hybrids was cleaved with HindIII, Southern blotted and hybridized using a 1.1 kb mouse NGF percursor cDNA probe. Mouse gene Ngfb was found to segregate with Chromosome 3. These cellular DNAs when hybridized with a rat amylase probe showed concordant segregation of the probe and Chromosome 3. The data suggest a syntenic relationship between Ngfb, Amy-1, Amy-2 on mouse Chromosome 3.
