  The following cross was used to map the No3 mutation . Mutant No3/+ mice were mated to C57BL/6 and the mutant offspring were backcrossed to C3H/HeH. The mapping results indicated that No3 mapped between D1Mit480 and D1Mit7 within the Cryg cluster. The authors stated that No3 was a truncation mutation within Cryge. In generally No3 is similar to the Elo and Cat2 truncation mutants.
