  In 4 Chinese hamster lung fibroblasts x mouse cells, only 1 contained mouse chromosome 4. This hybrid cell line I-18A was the only one of the four whose PstI cut DNA hybridized with Group 1 and Group 2 MUP probes, indicating that these genes are on chromosome 4.
