    Genetic mapping of the gcd2 mutation showed a location for the mutant gene between D2Mit158 and D2Mit174. The gcd2 mapping was futher narrowed to include a 2.9 Mb region flanked by D2Mit58 and D2Mit482. Mapping within this 2.9 Mb region were DNA markersD2Jcs1 and D2Jcs2.
