Notes
  • Experiment
A single locus associated with resistance to 3-methylcholanthrene (MCA)-induced T-cell lymphoma was mapped in (SWR/J x RF/J)F1 x RF/J backross animals. Parental strain SWR/J is resistant to MCA-induced lymphoma where as parental strain RF/J is susceptible. Mclr (methylcholanthrene lymphoma resistance) mapped to mouse Chromosome 6 and shows linkage to Cd8a (formerly Lyt-2) at 30.5 cM. SWR/J-derived alleles at Mclr confer dominantly-inherited resistance to MCA-induced T-cell lymphomaS.
