    In the process of selection for the CBA/J Tyr allele a new Idd (Idd27)locus was identified in the strain NOD.CBALs-Tyr+/Lt. This new locus was distal to D7Mit250 and proximal to D7Mit66. This interval contained Art2a, Art2b, and the obvious marker Tyr.Authors provide evidence that this new Idd locus is not mouse Idd7, which also in mouse Chromosome 7, albeit more proximal.
