    The Mbp minigene was used to probe for the transgene integration site in Hfm trangenic animals. The transgene integration site mapped to mouse Chromosome 10 cytogenetic band B1-3. The trangene integration site contains evolutionarily conserved sequences and a large repeat element containing 50-100 copies 3' to the transgene. Transgene integration also involved deletion of at least 23 kb of endogenous genomic DNA.
