    The mutant allele lgGa was shown to map in the exact location as Map3kl. For mapping the lg mutation BALB/cGa mice was mated to SWV/Bc. The lgGa mutation arose in strain BALB/cGa. It was demonstrated that lgGa actually represents a 27.5 kb deletion (exons 2-9) in Map3kl. Dr Juriloff has suggested that lgGa be merged with Map3k1.
