    The Authors report the production of an antibody that detects an Ssty-encoded protein of Ssty1. XSxraY*X males lack Yq and thus could be used to show if the Ssty1 related protein mapped to Yq. There was not speific binding of the Ssty1 protein in Western or Northern Blots in XSxraY*X males showing that Ssty1 mapped to Yq.
