Notes
  • Experiment
Congenic lines containing portions of the Bmd5 QTL region region were constructed using C3H/HeJ as the donor strain and C57BL/6J as the recipient strain. Analysis of congenic lines confirmed the effect of Bmd5 and narrowed the QTL region to between 73.2 cM (D1Mit194) and 100.0 cM (D1Mit403) on mouse Chromosome 1. A second nearby QTL with subtle effects was discovered between 36.9 cM (D1Mit282) and 64.5 cM (D1Mit416) and was named Bmd19.
