Notes
  • Experiment
Interval mapping was performed on a (BALB/c x C57BL/6)F1 x (C3H x DBA/2)F1 cross to identify QTLs affecting the level of T cell subsets in virgin and mated animals at 8 and 18 months of age. A QTL associated with CD8 T cell subset levels, Cd8ts1, mapped to 26 cM (D5Mit79) on mouse Chromosome 5 and a QTL associated with P-glycoprotein positive CD8 T cell subset levels, Pcd8ts1, mapped to 61 cM (D5Mit25) on mouse Chromosome 5 with statistical significance of P<0.05. Cd8ts1 is associated with CD8 T cell levels in 18 month old mated mice. Pcd8ts1 is associated with P-glycoprotein positive CD8 T cell levels in 8 month old mated mice.
