  Interval mapping was performed on a (BALB/c x C57BL/6)F1 x (C3H x DBA/2)F1 cross to identify QTLs affecting the level of T cell subsets in virgin and mated animals at 8 and 18 months of age. A QTL associated with CD4 T cell subset levels, Cd4ts1, mapped to 29.5 cM (D3Mit25) on mouse Chromosome 3 with statistical significance of P<0.05. Cd4ts1 is associated with CD4 T cell levels in 8 month old virgin mice.
