Notes
  • Experiment
In an attempt to molecular define the muted region of mouse Chromosome 13 a series of 13 BACs were tiled. Two BACs 347F7(AC068907) and 317E13(AC069562) were found to completely span the muted region and contained approximately 400kb of genomic DNA. Markers within this region were identified and ordered as 26.MMHAP67FRA11.seq, MHAa38d12.seq, AI42568 442T7, G9Sp6, and D13Mit87. In the analysis of this 400kb region the authors suggested EST AA475929 as a likely candidate for the muted phenotype.
