    The authors analyzed mouse genome sequence resources from NCBI as well as Celera Genomics and identified the presence of the Stard4 and Stard6 genes on mouse chromosome 18. The location of the mouse genes corresponded with the location of the human orthologs on syntenic regions in the human chromosomes.
