  • Experiment
    Bw19, a QTL affecting body weight, was fine mapped to a 2 cM region flanked by DXMit226 and DXMit68 (LOD = 137) using progeny testing of interval specific congenic strains (ISCS). ISCS are derived from the HL (high body weight) and L (low body weight) inbred lines. Heterozygous HL ISCS females were backcrossed to L males for progeny testing and generating recombinants across the Bw19 locus.
