Notes
  • Experiment
319 (C57BL/6IBG X DBA/2IBG)F2 intercross animals were subjected to full genome scan at an average marker spacing of 20 cM to detect loci affecting loss of righting reflex (LORR) following the administration of ethanol. A significant QTL, Lore8 (loss of righting induced by ethanol 8), mapped to mouse Chromosome 1 at approximately 80 cM (LOD = 3.3 at D1Mit500). The C57BL/6IBG-derived allele appears to increase LORR at Lore8 and exhibits an additive mode of inheritance. A suggestive locus mapped to mouse Chromosome 5 at approximately 26 cM (LOD = 2.3 at D5Mit352). The C57BL/6IBG-derived allele appears to decrease LORR at this locus and is male-specific.
