Socs2 Socs2hg direct sequencing
Notes
  • Experiment
The authors identified the Socs2 gene on the BAC 520L19 that was previously mapped to the deletion end-point in the hg region. Subsequent expression analysis revealed a lack of Socs2 mRNA in hg mice. Sequence analysis demonstrated a deletion breakpoint in intron 2 of the Socs2 gene that results in the complete loss of exon 3 and sequences downstream. This suggests a key role for the Socs2 gene in hg mice.
