    Authors mapped the founder F1 slalom mutant to C3H and affected progeny were genotyped. Haplotype analysis revealed that the mutation mapped to chromosome 2 between D2Mit272 and D2Mit34/D2Mit106. Jag1 was considered as a candidate for the mutation and subsequent sequence analysis revealed the presence of a missense mutation in Jag1 contributing to the phenotype.
