    The authors analyzed data from PCR and Southern bots of BAC clones from the NK complex region on mouse Chromosome 6 to determine the order of genes to be: Cd69 - Klrd1 - D6H12S2489E - Klrc3 - Klrc2 - Klrc1. The Klra gene cluster was located after Klrc. This gene order appeared to be conserved in the human locus as well.
