    The authors analyzed the Bhmt2 sequence and identified an EST, D13Ucla2 (GenBank Seq: L11816) with 100% identity to the 3' end of Bhmt2. The EST had previously been mapped on an intersubspecific backcross to Chromosome 13. This location for Bhmt2 is in agreement with the localization of human BHMT2 to a syntenic region on human 5q13.
