  • Experiment
The authors constructed a physical map of a 240kb region on mouse Chromosome 18 using PFGE, restriction mapping and PCR analysis of BAC and PAC clones covering the region. The order and distance of the variable exons of the Crnr genes aare: Pcdha4 - 6.0kb - Pcdha5 - 5.6kb - Pcdha6 - 4.8kb - Pcdha7 - 11.0kb - Pcdh10 - 10.9kb - Pcdha11 - 9.4kb - Pcdha13. The three exons comprising the identical 3' - terminal portions of the Crnr gene family was located downstream of the Crnr variable exon cluster.
