Notes
  • Experiment
TRD (transmission ratio distortion) on the mouse X chromosome has been observed previously in crosses involving C57BL/6 and mus Spretus as reported in J:34507, Montagutelli X; et al, Genetics 1996 Aug;143(4):1739-52. In the Montagutelli reference 4 loci Dcsx1- Dcsx4 were assigned to varied positions on the X chromosome. The authors here were able to replicate TRD in crosses involving DDK to a region of the mouse X Chromosome significantly associated with DXMit210. DXMit210 maps to the region of X that includes both Dcsx1 and Dscx2. A single locus model for TRD was postulated, however the relationship of the two Dscx loci previously identified on the mouse X Chromosome to the single locus DDX bias at DXMit210 was not elucidated.
