Notes
  • Experiment
    The RPl13a and Rps11 genes are located in tandem 1.6kb apart in a 5' to3' orientation. Since the Rpl13a gene was previously localized to mouse Chromosome 7, the Rps11 gene was also localized to Chromosome 7. In addition, several small nucleolar RNA geneswere identified in the introns of the Rpl13a and Rps11 genes. The Rnu32 gene is located in intorn 2, Rnu33 in intron 4, Rnu34 in intron 5, and Rnu35a in intron 6 of the Rpl13a gene. Another copy of the Rnu35 gene, was designated as Rnu35b was identified in intron 3 of the Rps11 gene. The order/orientation of the genes can be summarized as: 5' - Rpl13a - 3' - 5' - Rnu32 - 3' - 5' - Rnu33 - 3' - 5' - Rnu34 - 3' - 5' - Rnu53a - 3' - 5' - Rps11 - 3' - 5' - Rnu53b - 3'.
