Notes
  • Experiment
The authors lcalized the Fbxw4 gene to a region between D19Umi1 and D19Mit17 with 5681 F2 progeny from an intercross between Dac1J and BALB/cJ mice. using two YACs containing these markers, fine structure mapping and generation of STS markers was performed in the region. A BAC, 282B21 was identified that contained the closest recombining markers. Sequencing of the BAC followed by computer analysis revealed two genes in the critical region. The 100kb Fbxw4 gene was separated by 0.417kb from the 3' end of an oppositely oriented 15kb gene designated Ndac. The Fbxw4 gene showed insertions disrupting the functional unit.
