Notes
  • Experiment
Analysis of 633 (SJL/J x B10.S/DvTe)F2 mice with induced experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) indicated the presence of a quantitative locus (QTL) involved with the EAE susceptibility trait. Eae11 showed maximum linkage to D16Mit140 at approximately 41 cM on mouse Chromosome 16. The authors note that this is proximal to another QTL, Eae4 placed at 26 - 50 cM. The SJL allele is associated with susceptibility. Stratification of the data by sex indicated that the effect of Eae11 on susceptibility was greater in males than in females.
