Notes
  • Experiment
the authors used Southern hybridization with probes isolated from the Rps6ka2 cDNA and sequence data to map the Rps6ka2 gene to the D17Leh66EI region on mouse Chromosome 17. The Rps6ka2 gene covers at least 120-150kb of genomic DNA and consists of a minimun of 13 exons. The t-haplotype contains three Rps6ka2 loci, one in each of the D17Leh66a, D17Leh66b and D17Leh66c regions. With these studies, the authors have also narrowed the region containing the Tcr1 locus. The authors suggest that Tcr1 is most likely located 30kb upstream or 20kb downstream of the Rps6ka2 gene. However, the 20kb region between Tcp10b and the chromosomal breakpoint of th49 could not be excluded completely.
